Our mission at FILO Fire Gear is to foster pride in the fire service by creating high-quality, durable, and stylish apparel that firefighters can be proud to wear. What is "First In, Last Out" (FILO)?

The concept of "first in, last out" is rooted in firefighting culture and history. We believe that the sacred trust and bond between brothers and sisters in the fire service exists because we all face the same risks together. We lead from the front, acting as role models for those around us as well as future firefighters.

We are often the first to drill and the last to leave; the first ones to step up in stressful situations and manage the momentum; the first ones to speak up and hold people accountable; the first people to find solutions to the conflicts, challenges, and distractions that could disrupt, divide, and destroy; and we use our proper judgment to know when to call backup if the danger is too big or complicated.

We build trust - because trust is the only thing that allows us to run into burning buildings when everyone else is running away from them. Our trust is built on consistency, knowing that we will do whatever it takes to beat back the enemy and bring our crew home alive. We face every danger alongside our brothers and sisters, every day, creating the conditions that make trust possible.

While we do our heaviest work in moments of chaos, we do our most important work in moments of quiet. In those moments, we are teachers and mentors supporting our brothers and sisters while upholding the traditions and values of the fire service.
